Madonna was born on August 16, 1958) and has always been known artistically as Madonna. She is most well known for
being an American singer-songwriter but
also is considered to be a dancer, musician, record producer, and actress. She is highly regarded to be "one of the
greatest pop acts of all time". The
media has always referred to her as the "Queen of Pop." The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) ranks
Madonna as the "Best Selling Female Rock
Artist of the Twentieth Century" and the second top-selling female artist in the US. The Guinness World Records
claims that Madonna is the "World’s most-
successful female musician" highest earning female singer in the world. It is estimated that Madonna's net worth is
over $400 million thanks to her selling
over 200 million albums worldwide. March 10, 2008 was one of Madonna's proudest days when she was inducted into the
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
