Stadium:
Paul Brown Stadium
Located along the banks of the Ohio River and home of the Cincinnati Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium has become one of the best stadiums in the NFL. Prior to moving into Paul Brown Stadium, the Bengals played at Riverfront Stadium, a multipurpose stadium that they shared with the Cincinnati Reds (MLB). As Riverfront Stadium began to show its age and as the shift throughout the sport shifted towards new football only stadiums, the Bengals focused on getting a new stadium built. In 1996, voters approved a referendum that allowed a new stadium to be built. The stadium was constructed just blocks away from Riverfront Stadium. Ground breaking ceremonies took place on April 25, 1998. Unlike many other teams in the NFL, the Bengals decided not to sell the naming rights to the stadium. Instead they decided to honor their founder, Paul Brown, and name the stadium, Paul Brown Stadium.

Season Preview:

In the wake of the retirement of long-time starter Rich Braham at the end of 2006, the Bengals identified center as a position of top competition early in the off-season. Returning was replacement starter Eric Ghiaciuc and former Louisiana State star Ben Wilkerson, who has two years into a return from a serious knee injury in college. They were joined by former Ohio State star Alex Stepanovich, who had started for the Arizona Cardinals. Now the competition is down to Stepanovich and Ghiaciuc, and the competition appears to have settled into place. Ghiaciuc has had what coach Marvin Lewis called the best off-season on the roster. Ghiaciuc, who made 13 starts in place of Braham in 2006, grew in his knowledge of the offense and into a vocal leader, Lewis said. The Bengals apparently like Stepanovich's NFL experience and health, compared to Wilkerson. The Bengals waived Wilkerson, along with running back Terrence Whitehead and tight end Gregg Guenther on June 14. Wilkerson signed with the Bengals as a college free agent in 2005. Before injuring his knee in a late regular season game against Vanderbilt, Wilkerson was considered the top center in the 2005 draft. Wilkerson played in three games in 2006, including a long stint with the starting unit in the home victory Nov. 30 against Baltimore. Elsewhere on the offensive line, clearly a position group of strength for the Bengals, the right side returns in tact with tackle Willie Anderson and guard Bobbie Williams. The Bengals' strongest run plays go right with Rudi Johnson carrying the ball. On the left side, Andrew Whitworth appears to have an edge on Stacy Andrews to replace Eric Steinbach at guard. Andrews emerged as a solid backup in 2006 when he started three games at right guard for Williams, who had undergone an emergency appendectomy. Left tackle Levi Jones has yet to be cleared to return to the field, following off-season surgery on his knee. Whitworth started at left tackle 10 times as a rookie last season when Jones was out, and Bengals coaches have a lot of confidence in Whitworth. Sportsline.com
